Our passion for the garden has inspired an even greater passion.

We are a small family owned business made up of mainly mothers and daughters. Our love for flowers and gardening are the inspiration behind Kia Girl accessories. Because we live in the mid-west, every spring we head for our gardens. Some of our little girls even have their own miniature gardens. We decorate our gardens with pots and signs. One of our pots is engraved with, "One who plants a garden, plants happiness." In the corner of the garden we have a sign that says, To plant a garden spreads love." Every year the well being and happiness that comes from working in our garden and watching it grow is short lived because the cold mid-west winter comes in and our flower gardens are over until next spring.

Two years ago my daughter Kia asked, "Mom why can't we have flowers all the time?" I told her, "We can." We decided to take our love for the garden indoors. We design hand crochet hats with beautiful silk flowers. It is our hope that our hat garden will spread seeds of love and happiness for little girls undergoing chemo or with alopecia. We feel they are perfect for building their self esteem and helping them to recognize that they are still beautiful even though experiencing periods of hair loss which occur with chemo therapy.
